Gloriosa Lily Tubers 50 mixed sizeAdd to Favourites
This mixed sized pack contains Growing On sized tubers and smaller flowering sized tubers.
The best time to plant gloriosa lilies for cut flowers is from mid October to February. They flower about 10 weeks from planting.
For tubers to increase in size from one year to the next and for good long cut flower stems gloriosa lilies need to be grown in a greenhouse because they need warmth and high humidity. They are happy in full sun.
They can be grown out doors successfully in a home garden situation but the flowers will be smaller and the stems not so strong and long and they need lifting to be sure to survive winter.
Mixed colours , predominately pink.
Growing - on means they will probably not produce a flower this year.
These are the developed cut flower variety not the wild one from Africa or the Pacific Islands.
They are easy to grow and we supply complete growing instructions with each order.
These gloriosa lilies make an excellent cut flower that is sought after by florists.
They are supplied direct from the grower, who have been growing these as a cut flower crop for more than 20 years. They are surplus to next season needs .
We ensure that they have healthy growing tips before posting.
